New Poll: Impeachment |
|
|
The results are in for last week’s poll question: Alberto Gonzalez has recently come under fire for the role he played in the firing of several US Attorney Generals. What is the appropriate course of action from members of our legislature?
- 71% of voters wanted Gonzales subpoenaed
- 24% wanted Gonzales to resign
- 5% voted to allow Bush to decide
Clearly, The Seminal readers feel Gonzales needs to be held accountable for his actions.
Please vote in this week’s poll in our sidebar and tell us who you would like to see impeached: Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, Rove, or nobody.

Where is the option for all of the above?
Also, impeachment is only an option for “civil officers”. Under common interpretation this only includes the President, Vice President, Cabinet Members, and Federal Judges. I don’t believe Rove is legally impeachable.
All of the above added! As for Rove, you are correct legally, but this is our poll and if we want to vote to impeach Rove we should!
Hahaha, very nice. Agreed.
Impeach Rove!
Not very surprising, this is a lefty blog so that figures. I am just wondering what you think of Bill Clinton Firing 92 US attorneys when he got into office.
It’s Gonzales’ lying, more than the firing (which is apparently pretty standard practice), that has people bothered about this attorneys scandal.
