Friday Diversions :: Adam Tolland :: 4/27/07 |

Our weekly installment of poetry and prints. Hit the jump for the art…
Punk Girl mid-drifts-yet to be attractive and too young to smoke
Cock Eyed and slack legged
I have no reason to speak with her
Because I want a better nanny to tell me I’m cute and wash my hair
Going far fast with this one- Again, A Bite, Bent & A–ghast
Monday, always Monday after the museums
no work, only tea and freshly trimmed hair for the afternoon muse peruse
I don’t think that either of these two
three, including me
Realized how much poetry was in it at the time.
In the shower together, crooked and arms on fire

Please leave your thoughts and Friday night musings in the comments below.
Adam Tolland was born and raised under hard yet quiet circumstances in Toledo, Ohio. His one great childhood experience was winning a poetry contest at the age of ten with a work he swears was the result of divine intervention. He graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Film and Anthropology and currently keeps residence in northern Chicago. The author of tens of thousands of pages of unpublishable personal liturgy, Adam attempts to follow in the footsteps of C. Olson, W.C. Williams, and Jack Kerouac when the suit fits. He enjoys sea glass, invisible pets, Jazz, and women at his own leisurely pace.

The poem is pleasant and disturbing at the same time.
I’ve enjoyed all these poems thoroughly. Perhaps one day we should throw together an official Seminal poetry event…
Disturbing? Good. It’s a servicable representation then. A poetry outing would be fun.
