One RESPONSE to “New Issue Coming Soon: Education”

There’s always room for a better late than never approach, however Bush’s meeting of the “Big Emitters” is not it. The fact that he did not attend the UN meetings earlier this week in order to work on a global mandate toward a reduction in emissions shows that he’s not going to cooperate in a manner that will really achieve results in reducing the effects of climate change. If anything this meeting is to set up a smokescreen to appease constituents, give the appearance of action when it’s actually just bringing the same stuff to the table: voluntary reductions. I’m not expecting anything of value from the Bush administration in regard to this issue; progress will come from the state’s own legislation until there is a change in the White House.
