Abortion rates are constant, whether they are legal or not, but illegal abortions are much more likely to be unsafe. And to lower abortion rates, make contraception more widely available. [The W.H.O. just confirmed everything sane people know about abortion.]

Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize. That’s quite an accomplishment, congrats! However, most say he probably won’t run for President.

From The Blogs

Fox News has a new business channel. Not that this makes Fox into real news, but ok…

Steven Stark surmises that Obama is too focused on himself to win the election. I agree that Obama has been too reluctant to take strong stances on issues and give voters specific policies, but I’m not convinced that’s because he’s too interested in selling his “personal story.”

The Hip Hop Chess Federation invites Bill O’Reilly to attend their tournament and learn more about real hip hop culture. Bill-O won’t go, I can assure you that, but the HHCF’s criticisms of him are spot on.

Video Of The Day

Fred (ok…Freddie) Thompson spent over 2 minutes sputtering and stumbling in the last Republican debate. Kevin Tracy wants those 2 minutes back, and frankly, so do I.

That’s all I got for today. This is an open thread, so what’s on your mind?
