Polls in America:
Some recent polls conducted by the prolific polling agency Gallup.

Democratic Candidates:

Favorable Ratings Among Democrats:

Hillary Clinton 81%

John Edwards 71%

Al Gore 73%

Barack Obama 72%

The poll on Obama, Edwards and Clinton was conducted October 4-7. The poll on Al Gore was conducted August 13-16, prompting speculation from Gallup that the number may rise next time around.

Gun Control:

In general, do you feel the laws governing the sale of firearms should be more strict, less strict, or kept as they are now?

More strict: 51%

Less strict: 2%

Kept as they are now: 38%

No opinion: 2%

Death Penalty:

Are you in favor of the death penalty for a person convicted of murder?

Yes: 69%

No: 27%

No opinion: 4%

Times to Shine:

Generally speaking, at what hour of the day or night are you personally at your best?

5 AM to 11:59AM: 55%

12 Noon to 4:59PM: 15%

5PM to 10:59PM: 20%

11PM to 4:59AM: 6%

Ten AM was the hour most often given by Americans as their personal peak of the day.
