China is extremely angry that President Bush will be hosting the Dalai Lama for a Congressional Gold Medal on Wednesday, saying it will damage US-Chinese relations.

The presidency is so passé. For those of you who missed it, two years after winning an Oscar, Al Gore & friends have won the Nobel Peace Prize for their work on bringing climate change to the fore. (Meanwhile, this year’s 3 American recipients of the Nobel Prize in Economics have won for work that has broad-ranging implications for carbon trading.)
