Po-Am: Her name is Mary (ALIVE)

by Adam  ::  Filed Under Music and Culture  ::  December 3rd, 2007 @ 8:59 am EST

Reckless? maybe
Boring? never

Her Name is Mary (ALIVE)

Only six months in the womb
Silky wet out with the heart fire
Born of my seed
Lusty twin loins

Her name must be Mary Elizabeth
Tripped words in hurried tongues
Of path and way and command
Most High upon no hill or mount

I wished to give her up
No one concerned would agree
She was to give a child herself
Someday, somewhere to help something or whatnot

Treated medicated cream for the rash
Had a discussion on Brit Pop
Laid Mary down on pillows
And I began looking for cheese making jobs

My faith already shaky at best. This is what I get for watching the “Nativity Story” at 2 am with bowl after bowl of Special K. A dream that won’t let me sleep straight and preps me for a good stoning (with rocks). You’d better take your diamond ring-You’d better pawn it babe. I am obsessed with Her hands, my mail carrier, and the Father’s story. Natural redheads only.
