Mikhail Saakashvili has been re-elected president of Georgia, despite opposition from protesters.

U.S.

Obama now has a 2 digit lead in several New Hampshire polls released today. These polls do not yet reflect the Obama-Edwards route in Saturday’s debate.

Romney lied in Saturday’s debate. Wait, thats not news. McCain also told a fib in Sunday’s debate.

Former Democratic Presidential candidate George McGovern had an op-ed in the Washington Post today calling for Bush and Cheney to be impeached. Go George!

Bush and Cheney are clearly guilty of numerous impeachable offenses. They have repeatedly violated the Constitution. They have transgressed national and international law. They have lied to the American people time after time. Their conduct and their barbaric policies have reduced our beloved country to a historic low in the eyes of people around the world. These are truly “high crimes and misdemeanors,” to use the constitutional standard.

That Huckabee clip is simply amazing. Just…wow. I sure hope he’s the nominee.

That McGovern piece is awesome. I really liked the end where he talked about being a bomber in WWII, and serving his country every day of his life. That’s a sense of leadership that many of our current “leaders” have lost - none more so than the current occupants of the White House and the Naval Observatory.

I’m pretty sure he knew it was a joke…Huckabee’s not a dumbass, he just happens to be a republican.
