Today’s Blog Picks

Lots of reports on Election ‘08. The discussion of race and religion are finally coming to a pitch over a certain picture. Over at HuffPo, Omid Memarian questions of the newly aggressive tone of the Clinton campaign, and Steve Clemons asks outright — and rightly so — “DO YOU HILLARY CLINTON — AND BARACK OBAMA — HAVE ANY PROBLEM AT ALL WITH A MUSLIM SERVING AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?” I’m glad someone has enough sense to take this head-on.

I suppose on a related note, the rate of non-Christians in the US has been growing.

The Agonist talks about Turkey’s Sèvres Syndrome and the fear of losing their land. A little background into the recent incursion of the Turks into Iraq.

Great question from Clemens. The whole attack is ridiculous, and I can’t believe this kind of thing is even discussed…
