Torture-free way to interrogate a “terrorist”

With President Bush vetoing Congress’ attempt to limit the CIA’s ability to use torture for the sake of interrogating terrorists, Veteran FBI interrogator Jack Cloonan weighs in to discuss his experiences interrogating al Qaeda operatives and being successful…without the use of torture.

“How to Make a Terrorist Cry”

And “Three Torture Myths”

From the video:
“If you want to recruit young jihadis….torture them; admit that you tortured them because when they’re ultimately convicted and whatever their ultimate fate is, there will be poems, songs and their images are going to be emblazoned all over that world.”

Thus, according to the expert, the cowboy theory of torture and interrogation is not only undignified but also counter-productive, and veto or no, the only way the “war on terror” can be won is by rising above the tactics of terror.
