Chinese stepping up in Tibet, Pelosi urges inquiry, Rumors of war in Lebanon, Brazil Cracking down on deforestation

Thousands of Chinese forces are stepping up their hunt for protesters in Tibet, as the international community continues to urge restraint. “Photos of 21 men wanted in connection with the Lhasa riots were posted on major Chinese Internet sites.”

Nancy Pelosi is urging an international inquiry and called on the international community “to denounce Chinese rule in Tibet”.

Tensions are rising in Lebanon, and rumors of war are flying around the country.

A NATO soldier died in a bomb blast in southern Afghanistan today.

Hackers from China appear to be wreaking some havoc on the Save Darfur website.

After a surge in deforestation, Brazil is cracking down on logging in the Amazon.

And in case you missed it: Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico is planning to endorse Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination later tonight.
