Weird Moments In Web Analytics: March 2008

by Jason Rosenbaum  ::  Filed Under Special Topics  ::  April 2nd, 2008 @ 11:48 pm EST

It’s that time of the month, the time when we dig into last month’s statistics we measure about you, our community! Last month:

  • More Seminal readers from Canada live in Vancouver than any other Canadian city
  • We had no visitors from Greenland last month, but we did have 69 from Iceland
  • It seems our timely coverage is paying off. Our second most popular search term last month was “spitzer scandal”
  • And on the search topic, for the first time since I started this experiment, our search traffic for the term “egypt sex” fell. However, our traffic for the word “egyptian sex” skyrocketed 4,000%! Let’s see how those terms do next month…

There you go, your monthly weird web analytics post. Once again, thanks for stopping by, and we’d love to see you again! Back with more next month…

Egypt sex. Egyptian sex. Sex in Egypt. That is all.

Oh, and what’s up with all these DFHs from Vancouver reading our site? Not a surprise, I guess, sheesh. Welcome!
