Weird Moments In Web Analytics: April 2008

It’s time for me to examine what weird things we measured about you, our readers, in the past month - oh joy!

  • Our greatest source of traffic this month came from reddit.com. Reddit is dear to my heart, so thank you Redditors! We love you here!
  • The 2nd most searched for term that led visitors to our site this month was a search for “a.m. schmitz,” the name of one of our regular commenters. Hey a.m., someone out there is looking for you!
  • On that note, more people came to this site searching for “vas” or “alex hanna” than “alex thurston.” Sorry Alex.
  • Of our South American visitors this month, most came from Brazil, with Argentina a close second.
  • And, for the results of our continuing study in search engine optimization, “egyptian sex” was one of the top 10 keywords people used to find our site last month. “egypt sex” was in the top 12.

That’s about enough weirdness for one month. Once again, thanks for making this site what it is, and thanks for letting me measure strange statistics about you all! I’ll be back with more in May…
