Richie Rich for President |
|
|
In an interview with Politico yesterday, John McCain was unable to say how many houses he and his beer baronness wife own–he simply doesn’t know. Maybe that’s understandable–it turns out the McCains own 10 houses, ranches, condos, and lofts, worth a combined total of more than $13 million. This makes it easier to understand McCain’s bizarre assertion that “rich” means making more than $5 million a year. McCain can buy a commoner making $1 million a year ten times over, simply by selling 10 of his residences. They’d still be doing ok as their net worth is more than $100 million.
Do Americans really want a president who’s so out of touch that he can’t be bothered to keep track of the number of houses he owns? Add this to other examples of McCain’s detachment–he doesn’t know how to use a computer, has said he doesn’t understand economics, keeps forgetting ther’s no such country as Czecholovakia anymore, thinks the Russian-Georgian war is the first major international conflict since the Cold War ended.
At what point does the media sit up and take notice? I have CNN on right now and haven’t heard them mention this in the last 20 minutes.

CNN clueless so far–they played a clip where Obama referred to McCain not knowing how many houses he owns, but they didn’t explain what Obama wass talking about and someone watching who didn’t know would probably not understand Obama’s reference. Bravo CNN!
like Obamma visiting 57 states so far….
what does that mean? if that’s supposed to be a criticism, it makes no sense. damn that Obama for wanting to actually get to know voters in every state (?)
After I bought my second home, I lost count too. When you bathe in money and light your cigars with $100 bills, what difference does a few dollars make?
