I wrote earlier today that it would be great to see the Republican party take a more moderate, reasonable approach. Here’s an easy one–can we hear from Republicans who are offended that one of their own directed a racist slur at the First Lady of the United States? A former South Carolina Republican party chairman issued a tepid response, saying the comment was “sad, disappointing, and unfortunate.” No, it’s racist, as the Democratic mayor of Columbia pointed out. Can someone in the party knock this softball out of the park? I hope someone will denounce this racist comment for what it is.

I will– The comment is outrageous and despicable against anybody much less the President! Don%u2019t know what he does for the Republican%u2019s but he should be canned immediately. Furthermore, I want to see anybody that tries to spin and apologize for this moron to be canned with him.
I just wish the Democrats were as honest when one of theirs steps out of line. The comment by Letterman re Palin was bad enough but the lefts defense of Letterman is revolting.
